The Sweet Beat:  Close-Knit Mad Hatters Get Cupcakes
The Sweet Beat Visits Carmichael Eskaton Village Chapter of the Mad Hatters

The Sweet Beat got a nomination they simply couldn't pass up from Traci Dowdell, a volunteer in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Sacramento's Sutter Memorial Hospital.

Traci let us know about a group that's near and dear to her heart, a group of seniors at Carmichael's Eskaton Village who use their knitting talents for good. They call themselves the Carmichael Eskaton Village Chapter of the Mad Hatters and they meet monthly to collect their handmade baby hats and booties for NICU programs at area hospitals.

The Frostinistas caught a glimpse at their latest fuzzy creations for newborns and delivered our delectable cupcakes.
